The Director of the company possesses a profound understanding of their personal obligations and the essential measures necessary to uphold and safeguard the robust health, comprehensive safety, and overall prosperity of the organization’s personnel and any stakeholders potentially influenced by its operational scope. Furthermore, all personnel shall be thoroughly informed regarding their respective duties and accountability for actively contributing to the preservation of their personal well-being and the safety of those influenced by their professional conduct, fostering a collaborative environment with the company. 

 

Ample allocation of both temporal and material resources will be dedicated to advancing health and safety initiatives, and in this pursuit, the company commits to the following principles: 

 

  • Training: Dedicate efforts to guarantee that all team members possess the requisite proficiency for their designated duties, facilitating this through the provision of comprehensive and appropriate instructional programs. 
  • Consultation: Engage in effective and suitable dialogue with all employees and fellow workers concerning any aspects that bear relevance to their occupational health and overall security. 
  • Cooperation & safety of others: Prior to commencing work on any site, the company will conduct preliminary discussions with clients to ascertain and comprehend any potential perils or risks inherent in the impending assignment. Furthermore, conspicuous and fitting warning signs will be deployed to preclude any unintended exposure of other individuals to unforeseen dangers. 
  • Monitoring, Audit & Review: Routinely scrutinize, evaluate, and, when necessary, amend its established policies and operational protocols, ensuring their continued relevance and efficacy through systematic periodic assessments. 
  • Accident Reporting: Adhere meticulously to the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) by submitting notifications for all incidents as legally mandated. Every occurrence of an accident will be promptly communicated to the management team and formally documented within the designated accident logbook. 
  • Fire & Emergency Procedures: Undertake thorough evaluations of all potential fire-related dangers and implement measures to segregate all flammable substances. Should an emergency situation arise, all personnel are instructed to assemble at predetermined muster points, and the appropriate emergency response agencies will be immediately alerted. 
  • First Aid: Appropriate first aid provisions and equipment will be readily accessible and distributed to all staff members at their respective work locations, or, in the context of external sites, arrangements will be made in advance with the client to ensure their availability. 
  • Manual Handling: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of risks associated with manual handling activities wherever applicable. Specialized instruction will be furnished to cultivate and reinforce secure operational methodologies. 
  • Work Equipment: Furnish and diligently uphold the operational integrity and safety of all machinery, tools, and general equipment. 
  • Asbestos: Should there be any apprehension during the performance of routine tasks regarding the potential discovery or disturbance of asbestos-containing materials, the company will impart specialized asbestos awareness education to enable accurate identification. Furthermore, the asbestos register for client sites will be meticulously reviewed, or its precise whereabouts confirmed, prior to the initiation of any work. 
  • PPE: Individual Protective Equipment will be supplied without any cost to every member of the workforce. This gear will be meticulously selected to be appropriate for the specific tasks to be performed, and comprehensive instruction regarding its proper application will be extended. 
  • Welfare: Sustain secure and salubrious occupational environments, additionally guaranteeing the provision and organization (for client locations, as deemed requisite) of access to suitable welfare amenities, including sanitary conveniences, washing stations, and sources of safe drinking water. 
  • COSHH: Guarantee the secure manipulation, secure warehousing, and responsible application of all hazardous substances. A fitting evaluation will be conducted to accurately quantify the risks inherent in their utilization. 
  • Risk Assessment: The organization bears the sole responsibility for conducting all necessary risk assessments, thereby assuring the thorough identification of all pertinent hazards and the subsequent implementation of appropriate mitigating controls.
