Purpose 

This environmental policy outlines Bold Security Solutions’ commitment to managing environmental concerns within its operations and service provision. It details how Bold Security Solutions will assess and mitigate its environmental footprint, alongside the roles and responsibilities of its personnel in achieving these goals. 

Scope 

This policy extends to all personnel, including full-time and part-time employees, and contractors. It will also be communicated to suppliers, prospective partners, and consultants as relevant, demonstrating our dedication to environmental stewardship. 

Action 

Bold Security Solutions is dedicated to promoting a fair transition to net-zero emissions and lessening the environmental impact of its activities and services. This will be achieved through focus on the following key areas: 

Staff Engagement 

 We will foster environmental accountability throughout the organization, ensuring this policy is communicated and applied across all staff levels. Key personnel will be allocated sufficient time to integrate these initiatives into our operations, with additional resources provided as needed. 

 Employees will be encouraged and supported to establish a climate working group, open to those with a personal or professional interest, ensuring representation from all organizational tiers. 

To support staff well-being, we will deliver constructive, action-oriented communications regarding climate challenges and offer opportunities for personnel to adjust their working practices at Bold Security Solutions to align with sustainable behaviours. Platforms will be provided for staff to discuss environmental issues, including their concerns, as part of broader well-being programs. 

 The senior management team of Bold Security Solutions will: 

• Communicate environmental responsibility expectations to employees, board members, and administrative service providers. 

• Exhibit clear dedication to environmental protection through leadership, ensuring its promotion across all staff. 

• Support team well-being and counteract a sense of helplessness by spearheading organizational action and setting a positive precedent. 

The employees of Bold Security Solutions will: 

• Familiarize themselves with environmental requirements pertinent to their roles, including evaluating the carbon footprint/environmental impact of their specific work areas. 

• Assume accountability for their environmental footprint while in the workplace, working from home, sharing strategies with colleagues to minimize personal impact. 

Management will: 

• Acknowledge that climate change represents a strategic and systemic risk, potentially hindering the charity’s long-term objectives. 

• Support senior management and the broader staff team in addressing climate issues. 

Operations 

Bold Security Solutions mission is: Ensuring the sustainability of our services is crucial for the people, places and communities we serve. 

To align with our mission, values, and charitable objectives, we will annually evaluate the environmental effects of our operations and establish targets to reduce our internal carbon footprint. These targets will be reviewed on an annual basis. This will involve initiatives such as: 

• Monitoring utility consumption in both office environments working setups. 

• Promoting and incentivizing eco-friendly travel options for employees to cycle to work, public transport, and minimizing air travel. 

• Deliberately evaluating the necessity of travel for service delivery, promoting sustainable transport methods, and offering virtual event access. 

• Reviewing waste management practices and educating employees on efficient recycling and reducing single-use plastic consumption. 

• Engaging with the communities we serve regarding climate change and its relevance to our mission, vision, and values. 

• Generally enhancing communications on the climate crisis to foster awareness among our networks and the communities we serve. 

• Adhering to all pertinent environmental legislation and regulations. 

Governance 

Management bears ultimate responsibility for Bold Security Solutions and its strategic direction. We commit to annually assessing the current and prospective impacts of climate change on the communities, people and places we interact with. This initiative should be spearheaded by management and will encompass, though not be limited to all personnel, clients and general public. 

• During our annual meeting review, management will discuss the intersection of our mission, vision, and values with climate change. This discussion should cover the potential effects on our beneficiaries, opportunities for broader climate collaboration, and how to integrate climate initiatives into our strategy, business planning, and organizational objectives. 

• Including a concise statement in our annual report, each year, detailing climate-related discussions and actions undertaken, along with objectives for the subsequent year.
